Standard First Aid - Level C CPR

Two Day Course

This Two-day course covers all the skills in Emergency First Aid plus first aid for other injuries and illnesses including head and spinal injuries, fractures of the upper and lower limbs. This course includes Level C CPR training and certification (Adult, Child, Infant, and 2 rescuer resuscitation) and AED training and ceritification.

Standard First Aid - Level C CPR Recertification

One Day Course

This course is intended for those who have a current Standard First Aid - Level C certificate and includes a review of essential skills with a focus on theoretical and practical skills testing. Includes Level C CPR recertification and AED recertification. Previous course must have been the complete Standard First Aid - Level C CPR course.

Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)

One Half Day Course

WHMIS meets federal general requirments and procides participants with information on hazardous materials aused in the workplace. This couse includes discussion about controlled products, workplace labeling, material safety data sheets and employee education.

Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG)

One Half Day Course

TDG meets provincial road requirements and includes classification, identification and emergency response planning plus information on bulk transportation of hazardous waste.

H2S Alive (Hydrogen Sulphide)

One Day Course

H2S Alive is intended for anyone working in an area where hydrogen sulphide may be present. Learn the properties of this poisonous gas, how to protect yourself from coming into contact with it, and what to do in emergencies.

Ground Disturbance Level II

Certified instruction in Ground Disturbance using Global and Alberta Damage Prevention Council standards

One Day Course

What is a ground disturbance; Code of Practice for ground disturbance; Pipeline permits and licences; Notification to pipeline owners, Site drawing or plot plan; Crossing agreements; Line locating; Exposure; Permits and Pre-Job Meeting; Soil classification.

Confined Space Level I

One Day Course

Instruction includes Occupational Health and Safety Legislation; Employer and Worker Responsibilities; Recognition of a Confined Space; Hazard Identification, Assessment and Control; Gas Detection Equipment; Respiratory Protective Equipment; How to Prepare to Enter a Confined Space; Entry Permit and Checklist; Casualty Management and Classroom Exercises.

 

Confined Space Level II With Rescue

Instruction includes Occupational Health and Safety Legislation; Employer and Worker Responsibilities; Recognition of a Confined Space; Hazard Identification, Assessment and Control; Gas Detection Equipment; Respiratory Protective Equipment; How to Prepare to Enter a Confined Space; Entry Permit and Checklist; Casualty Management and Practical Exercises.

Using proper techniques and equipment learners will simulate confined space entries and rescues. Participants must come prepared with hard hats, steel toed boots, gloves and coveralls. Also, bring the full body harness used at your place of business when possible.

 

Fall Protection

6S-Safety is offering a one-day Fall Protection course that will have the Oil Sands Safety Association (OSSA) accreditation.

Petroleum Safety Training

Petroleum Safety Training (PST) is an interactive multi-media program with video, audio, and interactive lessons. This safety training program has been designed and produced for all workers in the petroleum industry. PST meets all of the requirements for the IRP Volume #16 - Basic Safety Awareness Training.
